PREVIEW: Nothing much to preview here... I'd be very cautious playing large favorites in the 12:00PM & 3:30PM games... May be some surprises lurking & yours truly cannot for the life of me spot them individually... I'll do my best...

Western Kentucky at Middle Tennessee (-10.5) (7:30 ET)

How is it that a SUN BELT conference game is attracting more betting action than a Pac 12 game (featuring #9 ranked Oregon at HOME)?... Hmmm... Is it because 83% of the public money is carelessly tossing it away laying double digits to a Hilltopper squad who has yet to notch a "W"?...

The 'spy' says:
Western Kentucky 36 - Middle Tennessee 33 (2OT) - correct

Cal at #9 Oregon (-24) (9:00 ET)

This is a ridiculous line to lay for a conference matchup... But if you had pins on Western Kentucky, you ought to check the scoreboard... If they're playing MT tight, you can feel safer laying the points here...

OREGON for (1 unit)
The 'spy' says:
Oregon 43 - California 15 - correct

#5 Boise State (-20.5) at Fresno State (9:00 ET)

Ditto (vis-a-vis OREGON) with Boise in this spot... If Cal manages to cover the 24 points, I'll switch this pick to Fresno State (& hold my nose)... Otherwise, go ahead & side with the Broncos...

However, now you must know that anytime you side with Boise State, about 85% of the money is going to be riding the PASS LINE with you... So check the DICE...

BOISE STATE for (0 units)
The 'spy' says:
Boise State 57 - Fresno State 7 - correct

Maryland at #13 Georgia Tech (-15) (12:00 ET)
Box Score | Recap

Maryland has had a weird season so far... The public is kind of down on them after dropping games to WVU & Temple (who are both quality squads... They think the Terps can only beat up on the Towson State's of the world... I think GT is overrated...

Louisville at North Carolina (12:00 ET)
Box Score | Recap

I think there's hardly a chance that Louisville can match up 'talent wise' with the pro prospects that UNC has on the field...

NORTH CAROLINA for (0 units)...

Georgia (-2.5) at Tennessee (7:00 PM)
Box Score | Recap

Georgia finds itself in difficulty when it faces quality QR-WR tandems (like Boise)... Sure, Boise is going to be rooting for the Bulldogs here, but the Vols win in an upset...
TENNESSEE for (1 unit)
The 'spy' says:

Arizona (-2) at Oregon State (3:30 PM)
Box Score | Recap

Here's where Juron Criner is finally back to full health and has a breakout game...

ARIZONA for (0 units)

Iowa at Penn State (-4.5) (3:30 PM)
Box Score | Recap

Penn State shouldn't be laying points to anyone...

IOWA (for 0 units)
The 'spy' says: The public is taking

Kansas at #6 Oklahoma State St. (-31) (3:30 PM)
Box Score | Recap

Turner Gill is having a rough debut out in Lawrence... It's not going to get any easier facing a Cowboys squad that needs to get it's "wow" factor up just before the BCS computer standings come out...

OKLAHOMA STATE for (1 unit)
The 'spy' says: The public is taking
(result)

Wyoming at Utah State (-12) (8:00 PM)
Box Score | Recap

I don't know why Utah State gets disrespected with their solid running game... Giving 12 points doesn't seem like disrespect, but the public is all over the visitors...

UTAH STATE for (2 unit)
The 'spy' says:
(result)

Air Force at Notre Dame (-14) (3:30 PM)
Box Score | Recap

Air Force won a tough 'rivalry' game in Annapolis last week... This is a tough spot for them taking on a motivated Fighting Irish squad... If the line was smaller, I'd probably put some units on it... But the Irish also have USC coming up...

NOTRE DAME for (1 unit)...

- OTHER GAMES UNDER CONSIDERATION -

#17 Florida at #1 LSU (-13)
Ohio State at #14 Nebraska (-10.5)
#3Oklahoma (-10.5) at #11 Texas

I really hate laying double digit pointspreads... But in all the cases above, the 'dogs' find themselves outmatched... Florida lost their starting QB, Ohio State is too young & inexperience to play tough road games, & Texas is down to 2 QB's who might struggle to move the chains vs. the Sooners... Go ahead and put your money on the favorites if you wish, but don't come crying to me if one of them dumps, leaving you unfulfilled...
* Bold means that I'd tend to favor that team ATS (but won't suggest a play)
ATS = 'Against the Spread'
